Fake Robbery

|

Well I’m all for a good prank but sometimes people take things a little too far. Some of the shows that are out there today are just ridiculous. Sometimes they humiliate the people and sometimes they trick them into thinking they are in danger. There is a big genre of pranks out there but I really hate seeing it when people think they are actual danger. I don’t see how they can do these things and get away with it. They shouldn’t be able to mess around with people’s minds like that and they should be punished for doing it. I can understand lighthearted pranks that won’t make people think they are in any serious danger or embarrassment but when it is taken to that extreme it gets me a bit angry because if I was in the seat of that person I would be extremely pissed off. I found a video of a prank that I thought was taken too far and you can find it here.

The video I found was about a man who put something on his face to make it look like he was

robbing the store, but he really wasn’t. He put himself in a lot of danger and I am surprised he didn’t get beaten up and shot. The most that happened to him was he got pushed out of a few stores, people ran away from him or people would call the police. The things people do these days for a minute of fame is getting out of hand. If I was in the store I probably would have beaten the man to a pulp and wouldn’t have a second thought about it. It would have been his fault for being so stupid. I am sure he is going to get hurt if he keeps doing pranks like this. That day he will most likely regret pissing all the people off in his life. If someone pulled those types of pranks on him I bet he wouldn’t be happy at all.

This next story kind of confuses me a little bit and I would expect it to confuse you although I am not 100% certain. I am sure some of you have heard of this story so I will slowly lead into it to see if you This story is about a Good Samaritan. You usually expect the Samaritan to get a reward for helping someone or at least recognition for doing so. But these days that’s just not good enough anymore. We have to take their reward to the next level. What’s the next level of getting rewarded? Punishment. Yes, that’s right he pretty much got punished for helping someone. So next time you’re about to save someone’s life think about the consequences.

So ill explain what happened in a little more detail now that I have your undivided attention. This 58 year old man bus driver got out of his bus to help 2 ladies across the street. He was interested in their safety so he decided to help them. On the way across the road a pickup truck came towards them. He pushed the 2 ladies out of the way, essentially saving them, only to be left to be struck by the came full on. It was a full on strike and it sent him straight to the hospital. He is now there in intensive but stable condition.

Now that’s not the confusing part. The confusing part is what the police did. They gave him a jaywalking ticket. I mean holy crap the man is probably going to have a huge medical bill and he saved two other people. What’s the point of it? I don’t really see a point except for a douche bag trying to make a quota. Since when did you hear about tickets for jaywalking? If it was that serious then pretty much everyone at Purdue would have quite a record by now. It just amazes me when things like this happen. He saves two peoples lives at the risk of his own life and safety and he gets punished for it. Sometimes the “law” is, in my opinion, enforced to brutally and unnecessarily rough.

Well, I have another disturbing story for you. I know most kids aren’t really always the most polite and enjoyable to be around. The fact is its part of life that a kid will be annoying or will get on our nerves. There isn’t really a way to avoid it. Learning how to deal with this and cope with it is part of parenthood. Every kid has a moment in his life where he or she is a big pain in the butt, but it isn’t that hard to just set that aside and hope for the best. If you are not ready to have a kid, you shouldn’t. Now that wasn’t the story I just felt that it would be necessary to say what the responsible action would be compared to the news story I found.

That news story was about a baby being sold on EBay. To do something like this to your own child is so irresponsible and shows that these people should not have had a baby together. They live in Germany and the police took the kid away from them. Which in one respect is good, but the story did not mention if the couple got into and type of trouble with the law at all. I really hope that they are severely punished for doing this. It does irritate me that they no longer have the responsibility of the baby, but I know it is definitely for the best this way. To put a value on a person’s life is just appalling. They started the bid at about $1.50.

The kid is almost eight months old and I hope that he won’t have to know about this. His parents had such lack of respect for life, even for their own flesh and blood. I hope that he won’t have to meet his parents in his life because of their actions. I would only think that it would be harmful for him to meet them. I hope that that child will find a great family that loves him for who he is and take care of him instead of thinking of him as a piece of property.

A Rose

|

This next story I am going to talk about is about Guns and Roses, but not the band. It is about a program in South Carolina that the police put into place for Valentine ’s Day. If you trade in a gun you get a rose and a gift card to best buy. Personally I think this is a great idea to get unnecessary fire arms off the streets and into possession. I bet that this will definitely have an effect on the amount of gun violence in the area, which is a serious problem in the untied states. Not only would this reduce homicides it would also reduce suicides by reducing the chance someone with suicidal tendencies will be able to obtain a gun. There were 10.100 homicides in the United States just from guns alone, 75% of those being from handguns (which most people were turning in at the exchange. Although the United States doesn’t have the worst gun violence (south Africa) it is still one of the top 10.

They not only gave them a rose they also gave them a gift certificate to best buy. Best buy has a lot of useable equipment that can be used in everyday life while a gun only has limited uses. I believe that this is an extraordinary deal that could really help out the violence that is going on. With Gary Indiana being the murder capitol of the world or it was the last several years; I think that it would be a good idea for Indiana to do it. Gun violence is a serious problem in the United States. Unlike Europe were guns are outlawed to the general public (more knife violence in Europe though). I am really happy to see the Police Force making such strides to reduce the gun violence in the United States. I am excited to see the previous statistics of South Carolina Vs. 2009’s Statistics to see if there was a change.

Cuff'd

|

This next story is about a man who thought that it would be a great idea to go to a police station to get his hand cuffs off. When someone has handcuffs on they probably did something bad. It is unknown if this man actually got away from a police officer or if his bogus story was true. His story was that at a child’s birthday party his sister slipped the handcuffs on him. Sounds a little kinky to me. Irreguardless, this man had warrants for his arrest and had been cited for several charges.

It is pretty amazing that this guy thought it would be a great idea to go into a police station and try to get his handcuffs off when he had warrants for his arrest out. Maybe this was his way of turning himself in or something like that. It is pretty weird when people just do things like this. They spend so much time avoiding getting caught and then they do something so stupendously idiotic and get caught. For the most part it is inevitable to avoid the law for the remainder of your life because there are so many ways to be found out, there are some exceptions though. So it is pretty much pointless to stay on the run. This guy had to be turning himself in or he has to have a clinical mental disease or problem.

I wonder if people even think about what they do before they do It. It seems like so many people in the stories I have been writing about are just acting on impulse or something of that nature because the actions they are performing are just so stupid. A good definition I found on impulse is “a psychic drive or instinctual urge” from dicionary.com. The world today just has so many flaws and so many people are unaware of what’s going on. We have a fundamentally flawed system of society where people like this man broke the laws and tried to get out of it. Then we have the police that are suppose to protect us but some of them are corrupt. Then we have the judges that are suppose to be wise and “just” but take bribes for certain outcomes.

Tequila

|

This next story is pretty disturbing. People get into arguments all the time and it’s not a big deal, although sometimes they escalate to physical violence. But this news story is about sometime pretty darn terrible. A man got into an argument with another man and one of them decided to cover the man in tequila. That wasn’t enough though. He took out a lighter and set the man on fire. I mean he could have been drunk but that’s no excuse for foul and terrible behavior. How heartless do you have to be to do that?

I have talked about a lot of different stories but I always find that the stories that are associated with people starting fires the most horrific. There is no point to go to such an extreme of violence. If that man can’t handle having alcohol in his system he shouldn’t be drinking. We always hear about happy drunks and violent drunks. This man would definitely be classified as a violent drunk. I don’t think many people would classify him as a happy drunk. Again, alcohol is no excuse for poor behavior, especially violent behavior. Putting people’s lives in danger over something so trivial as an argument at a party.

The man that was burned suffered from 2nd degree burns. He is in the hospital in stable condition which is good, but he will always have the scars from the burns. The man who set him on fire has the charges of assault with and possession of deadly weapons (the lighter and tequila). I am happy to see that his bail is 400,000 dollars. This means that he won’t be getting out of jail until his trial so he can’t run away from justice. It always makes me confident in the law when I see a large bail when they have a good reason (good evidence) against the person who the charges are against.

Driver's Ed

|

This next story is about a man who let his 8 year old drive. I know many people sat in their parents lap and “drove” even though their parents were still in control as kids. This wasn’t the case in this story. The dad let his 8 year old son drive completely on his own. If a dad lets his son do that is pretty irresponsible and quite dangerous. That is only part of the story though. His dad took his “liquid medicine” as his son put it. Well, that liquid medicine was alcohol. So not only did he put his son in danger by letting him drive he got drunk and once that happened he probably thought he wasn’t responsible for his son anymore.

I’m by no means saying that people can’t drink if kids are around. They just shouldn’t get drunk. They assumed the responsibility of taking care of their kids when the child was conceived. It should really go through that dad’s mind that getting drunk when it is just him and his son around, even better if he didn’t even get drunk at all. Sometimes people just don’t think and this is an extreme case of it. A kid should not have to deal with his dad going to jail because he thought he was helping his dad. If the father goes to jail it could have serious psychological effects on the child, which would have a negative effect, if the father cleans up, on the child’s life.

That child probably is having a hard time with this. That is because he thought he was helping his dad by driving so his dad wouldn’t have to drive drunk. This is just merely a possibility since he may not know exactly what alcohol does and he referred to it as liquid medicine. I really feel sorry for the kid since he crashed the car and most likely thinks he disappointed his father. It’s just hard to think about what was going through the fathers mind when he did this.

Sweet Tooth

|

This time I am going to talk about how a teen likes to buy his or her candy. Normally he or she will go to the story and give a few dollars to a cashier for a few pieces of candy. In this case though, that wasn’t good enough. He must have had one hell of a sweet tooth. $37,000 worth of candy is quite a lot and that’s how much he baught. Who can afford that much candy? Well, he obviously couldn’t because he got a hold of an account number of some type from his old highschool. With that number he proceeded to buy $37,000 dollars worth of candy.

Well, my hat is off the this guy for trying to buy that much candy but when you do something like that you are bound to get attention drawn to yourself and found out. Which is exactly what happened. I don’t know how someone could think that it would be possible to get away with something like this. I mean he purchashed it using a school account and I’m pretty sure schools don’t spend that much on candy at one time. Another thing is he had the candy mailed to his home address. What an idiot. Do people even think about what they are doing when things like this happen? Obviously this guy didn’t really give it much though.

Well lucky for him, or not, he has two charges of felony telecommunications and his bail is posted at 30,000. This guy must have had a rough time from his teachers or something to do that to his school. I mean you would most likely have to put some serious thought and planning, not to mention stealing when he did this. He must have had a lot of guts to do this. Unfortunately have guts won’t help you in court. This kid must have had the biggest sweet tooth on the planet. I use the word must because I doubt he will be eating much candy while he is in jail.

Fire!

|

This next story makes me ponder about the sanity of the general public. What if one day a 19 year old decided to go off and light several houses on fire? Only to be videotaped singing about how the fire department would be angry at her. How crazy and maniacal do you have to be to do something so monstrous? Well that’s not a “what if” it’s a fact. This actually happened in real life and it was performed by some about our age. From what the story said no one was hurt, but it was a very real possibility.

I don’t know how someone could carry out an act like this. You could hurt so many people in the process men, women and children could all be injured or even killed. I don’t really know how to respond when I hear things like this because the person could be mentally disturbed. Then I think, is what was done chosen by free will or cause by some neurological disease. It really makes me think about people and if I should trust them. That is why I think people are so critical with others, they don’t know them and they are trying to protect themselves. That is just my opinion though and I am sure many people disagree with me.

Starting several fires and burning people’s homes down is just jaw dropping to me. The mind is a very complicated thing and I guess I will never truly understand how people can act like this. She has a 100,000 dollar bail and is being charged with a multitude of crimes. It is just crazy to think that someone would actually go through with something like this and end up singing about it. Like nothing had really happened or it was a lighthearted prank. I am just glad no one got hurt and she is off the streets. At least one more person that could hurt people is off the streets.

This topic is about a women in Korea. This is a pretty astonishing story. This woman has been trying to get her license for quite some time. How long is "quite some time" you ask? Try about 4 years with 771 non pass grades for the written exam. It must be one hard as hell test, she just doesn't really care or she honestly can't pass the test. Which it is it will still irritate me that i haven't passed it after that many attempts.

She has taken the test so many times the her costs for taking the test are now around three thousand dollars. I mean that is quite a bit of money. Even though it's spread out over about 4 years it could have been spent on something more worthwhile. If she has scored a 50 as her highest and it takes 60 to pass she should spend some time studying before taking it again. It almost sounds like she just takes it every few days and doesn't really put effort into trying to pass. It just looks like she is trying to take the test and luck out with a good score.

I am sure she will eventually pass the written test, but she will still have to pass the driving portion also. I don't really think I would want her driving on the road if she has failed the test that many times anyway. Many people have many challenges and this looks like a big challenge for her. Maybe she has a learning disability or something like that that makes it difficult to remember the rules. I would also throw out there that a lot of countries have a lot harder driver education and exams to be able to obtain a license. That being said it's still a lot of failed grades.

Family Fued

|

This time around I am going to talk about a lady who crashed her own sister’s wedding because she was not invited. I personally don’t think that it’g a good idea to go to a wedding unless you are invited because when I ever hear a wedding was crashed, it always turns out to be bad news. The woman who crashed her sister’s wedding must have done something pretty horrendous to her to not get invited. It would take something very serious for me not to invite my family members to my wedding. Just amazes me that a sibling could do that to her own flesh and blood. This story left me wondering a lot of things like, why did she attack her own sister at her own wedding, the greatest day of many people’s lives. Her sister will have to forever live with a horrible experience, her wedding. Even though she is now with the person she loves, it will be hard to forget that her own sister went to her wedding and attacked her, ripping her hair out in the process, during what was supposed to be the happiest moment of her life.

The woman who attacked her sister was charged with battery. I am glad to see that a charge was brought against her because it is just reckless and irresponsible to attack someone like that, especially on their wedding day. The woman lost her job as, what do ya know, a “911 dispatcher”. I would say it’s a bit of an unfair trade, ruin a day for someone but ruin the rest of your life, but hey who said life was fair? Here is a cliché phrase “Don’t do the crime if you don’t want to do the time”. It seems like I have found a theme of police in my writings. I think I am going to stick with them just because there are plenty of stories printed about them. I’ll try to mix it up with things that they do good and then some outrageous stories.

Suspended

|

This time around I am pretty proud of how the police acted after a man had his license suspended. This man was in court for his 13th license suspension. I mean honestly after the first few you think someone would figure, if I stop doing this maybe I will stop getting punished for it. In the crazy world today though that doesn’t exactly hold up. So the real kicker to this story isn’t the fact that he has thirteen suspensions. It is the fact that he was caught about 20 minutes later driving! What an idiot. I really don’t know how someone could be this ignorant. Unfortunately for him he has a ten thousand dollar bail. He has to stay in jail until he has paid it. Just goes to show you don’t piss off a judge by breaking the sentence he just gave you in a short amount of time. I personally thought the judge was lenient with his first sentencing. I would have put him in jail because it was his 13th offense. I thought it was three strikes and you’re out, not fourteen. Just goes to show you that some people will just never listen to what other people say.

Another kicker is that this guy is what most of us would think when we hear the word pimp. Just trying to picture what this guy looked like gave me a laugh. The story said that he wore a fur coat and his license read “Pimp Plaza.” I thought the whole fur coat pimp thing was over, but apparently it isn’t. Those few pimps want an express ticket to jail! How hard is it to spot a man wearing a fur coat? All that it does is draw attention to the person wearing it. I guess I will stop there because I don’t want to get into the “science of pimps” because I am no expert.
