Texts

|

Well im not sure if I should be inpressed or just kind of dumbfounded because of this next story. Last week I talked about a girl who had 5000 dollar texting bill. This week that doesn’t even come close to what this guy was charged. I believe that these two guys set a world record of some kind for being the biggest loser on the planet. Oh that’s right the people for sending the most texts in a month easy mistake. I don’t know why people would want to waste this much time of their lives just to say “ya I did that”. I believe they wasted an entire month of their lives to acomplish this “feat” for humanity.

The accomplishment this guy made? A $26,000 dollar bill that cost 28 dollars to ship. A bill that costs 28 dollars to ship must have been huge since it would just be paper. That’s honestly like a full computer paper package thick of paper. Just seems like that’s a little excessive even send him a bill like that. They should send him a computer disk or something instead of wasting so much paper.

When people think they have accomplished something by sending “hey” and “LOL”, they should start to rethink about where their life is going. It just seems like people waste to much time with things like this. I can’t believe that someone would waste an entire month just to do that. The way to accomplish 140,000 and 70,000 each for these 2 guys is to basically text nonstop for a month . It would get pretty annoying when this guy sends me like 300 hello texts in a day. It would just most likely piss people off that are in his phone because they would have got hundreds and hundreds of worthless messages. Personally I think these guys should evaluate their lives and see if that’s what they want to do and waste their lives like that. Final thing I will say is take everything in moderation.

Rent

|

This next story is a rather controvertial one. There is a play that a high school is showing and the name of the play is Rent. The story is about 2 struggling Artists that are homosexual and both have AIDS. It’s a pretty controvertial topic for a high school. I think most people would agree with that. They said that the show was going to be canceled several times but the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit that the High school was homophobic and Sexist. I don’t even know how someone can even file a lawsuit about that. The fact they can is just stupid.

This has caused a Baptist church nearby to protest and picket when the play comes out. I don’t know why people cant just keep their oppinion to themselves. I mean expressing your oppinion is ok but I mean who really is going to picket a high school play. Sometimes people just think about things a little too much and go over board. It really isn’t nessecary to start picketts and things of that nature because it’s just a high school play for crying out loud.

The group that wants to picket the play seems a little extreme a quote from the story is actually pretty disturbing "God hates (gay people) and (their) enablers; ergo, God hates Corona del Mar High School!". I mean what kind of person would just outright say something so hateful and mean. That was put up on their website so they are not trying to hide the hatred. They even go as far as going to soldiers funerals and saying that they are purposefully killed because America accepts homosexuality. This group sounds like some kind of hate group rather than a church. Really all these people did is raise awareness of this play. Now it has probobly sold more tickets because of them because of the publicity that came from news stories like this. Which pretty much makes a rainy day on their parade.

Knock Knock

|

Well this next story is a little weird and kind of cruel to an animal, even though I am not to fond of this animal anyway. There has been several controvertial topics in the newspaper in sydney australia. This is what people believe to be why someone would make a threat to the newspaper company. The company found itself with a live shark on its front doorstep as a threat. No one has found out anything on the case and the police are stumped because they have no leads on who might have done this. A good side to this is that the shark was relatively small and it was released back into the ocean. I do have to say that is the wierdest threat I have ever seen. What happened to the good old days where they had bomb threats and things like that. Just kidding!

I don’t really see the point they were trying to make by placing a shark on their front door porch area. I mean when someone sees a shark out of water I doubt that they will be too scared or intimidated by it since it would barely be able to move at all. If there was a shark on my front porch I most likely wouldn’t think “o my someone is threatening me” or anything like that. I don’t really find this to be an effective way to threaten anyone. I mean all someone has to do is grab the thing by its tail and put it in a bucket. I will give them quite a bit of credit for innovation though it is probobly the first time that it has been done . It might have been a lighthearted prank or something not too serious. Lets just hope they don’t keep bringing bigger and bigger sharks to the newspapers factory.

145 year late fee

|

This next story is actually quite remarkable. There was a book taken from washington and lee university that has been missing for over 145 years. I personally would have just said that the book was gone and would have forgotten about it but somehow there was a record of how long it had been gone and it was finally returned.
The book was taken from the university during the civil war. It was reported stolen in the year of 1864. I couldn’t actually believe that someone had kept the knowledge that this book was taken and passed that information down from generation to generation. It is really astounding that that information survived. Its even more amazing the the book itself is actually in good condition and is still readable.145 years is a long time for a book to survive so I am pretty impressed.
The man that returned it wasn’t actually a descendant of the man that took the book. He was friends with the person that owned it and he inherited it from them. He said he had been planning on to give the book back for quite some time and he finally got fed up and talking about it just went to the library and returned it.
I am sure that he is very happy that no fines had been accrued over the 145 years of the bookes absence. If he got fined I am sure he would have quite a large fine stacked up against him but luckily that wasn’t the case. This was just an interesting little story and I thought it was pretty amazing that the book had survived all the time.

Angry Dad

|

Well this story was pretty much the most worthless thing I have ever seen. I cant believe someone would actually publish this extremely boring poorly written piece of crap on the internet I really just wish people would actually look at what they have written and if its like 50 words, on a news site, and has the grammar and complexity of a two year old, they should probobly just think to themselves for a second or two and not publish it. I really suggest you read the story to learn to never read anything like it ever again.

The story is about a dad who was angry. He was angry because of his daughter that racked up 5 grand in texting bills for one month. Anyone would be angry over that. Here is the kicked though! He was so angry he broke her phone and now she is grounded. I know the story is just captivating and just snags your attention. Well atleast the daughter got punished.

She is now grounded to the end of the school year. This story was written a month or so ago so it is quite a bit of time to be grounded for but if you lose 5000 dollars I think there is perfect merit for that. I think she has learned her lesson because they gave us a inspiring quote from her, “ I felt really bad”. The quote just oozes with passion and sorrow don’t you think?

What I am trying to get across is that whoever wrote this should just stop. They really don’t have much to talk about if I can write more about the story they wrote about in less than a page. I just hope if this person writes another story they put a little more content into it instead of giving a quote like “I felt really bad”. That just isnt going to grab or maintain anyones attention. Much like this article I am writing. If you comment on this write the word scoot in your comment so I can see if you actually read this.

Noise

|

Well this next story is pretty ridiculous when it comes to complaining. This man lives next to an elementary school, police department and an airforce training base. Now which one do you think he would file a noise citation against. I would have guessed the air force training base since jets are pretty loud. Some may even say that the police station would be pretty loud because of the constant sirens goings off. I wouldn’t really think anyone would say an elementary school.
Well hefiled the complaint against the elementary school. I thought that was pretty crazy that he would complain about that over jet engines. I don’t really think little kids could make THAT much noise to really constitute a noise complaint. I had someone like this at at my elementary school.
We had a fire station pretty much right next to my school and I wouldn’t know how you wouldn’t complain about that over a school. I mean school has recess during the day for like 2 hours or something close to that. A fire station sends out fire trucks with their sirens blaring thought the night at 1 or 2 in the morning. It really doesn’t take much to tune something out or he could even liston to music or something like that instead of sitting in his house in silence all day like a creep. I just find it kind of crazy that people complain about so much. He probobly moved to that location after that school was built anyway. So he would have known what he was going to move into.
This wasn’t the first time he filed a complaint and the school did several things to cut back on noise. They installed several sound dampening things around their school and removed loud speakers outside. Then he filed another complaint which is the one I am talking about. I don’t see how loud little kids can be I mean you have to be sitting around and just listoning for it just so you can complain. I would just like to see less news about people complaining and whining about everything.

Weve got a runner

|

This next story left me pretty amazed. We all learned how to drive a car at around 15 or 16, well most of us at least. This took some time to learn and to feel comfortable to do for most people I am sure. It took a few months of information and a few hours of actual driving to get our permit. It also took quite a bit of money to get this.

Now there is a 13 year old kid who decided it would be a good idea to run away from home. Except he didn’t run and he didn’t take anything you would think. He took his families truck, supplies and 2 horses. The horses were in a trailer attached to the truck. This was all happening in Texas just to give you a little bit more information.

The kid ran away and was eventually found. He didn’t even give an explanation for running away. Which is kind of strange a 13 year old would steal a car like that but, whatever. The thing I am mad about it that he stole a truck and drove it.

It took a great deal of time, effort and money to get my permit and to be able to legally drive. To see a 13 year old kid just go off and start driving kind of pissed me off because he hasn’t “done his time” yet and that frustrated the heck out of me. I didn’t see anything about this kid being punished or anything. I can list off several things that he did that were illegal: Grand theft auto, stealing horses and supplies, the simple fact of running away as a minor is illegal.

I want this kid to be punished in some way because what he did could get a person in jail for a very long time and to see him just walk away from that is very annoying. The law system is pretty flawed and I want it to be fixed asap.

Smurfs

|

Well usually I report about how stupid news is. I will still be reporting on a news story but this time it wont be necessarily be about the story itself. You may ask how are you going to do that. So, please allow me to explain. I found a story so absurdly stupid I don’t know why someone would write about it. For that reason I am writing about this story.

Now to let you understand why I hold the position I have on this I will enlighten you with the story. A time capsule was buried in 1981 by elementary kids. They are now all grown up and want to open the time capsule. The school can’t find the time capsule. Grown up children are now angry. That is the story in a nutshell.

Can you see why someone would write about this story? I mean it is so emotionally attaching and well, if I do say so myself, interesting! Well, I don’t see that either and it just amazes me someone would actually spend the time to investigate this story and waste people’s lives by posting it on the internet and god forbid it from being published in print.

I don’t really see the point to this story because I am sure that pretty much every other class doesn’t have their time capsule either and I bet they don’t care or have forgotten about it. It had smurf dolls and baseball cards in it though! Well, you’re a grown up now and I don’t think you need the comfort or friendship of a smurf to make you feel good anymore unless you have serious socializing problems. Some people just amaze me by complaining all the time and the reasons they complain are just dumb. What’s even more amazing is that someone took the time to write about that story. What’s even worse is by me writing this blog more people’s minds will be rotted by the filth.

Google

|

This next story is a little strange. I don’t really know why people care about a lot of things because sometimes it just seems a little overboard sometimes. The story is about people don’t want the Google car that maps out streets and takes pictures so people know where they are going. To me that sounds like a novel idea and a very helpful utility for people that are not familiar with new areas of driving.
I mean I have trouble driving in new areas I am not familiar with and I am sure a lot of people are like me. Once I drive in the area a few ill have a good knowledge of the area. I would love to have this feature so I could know where I am going before I get there.
The part of this story that I think is strange is that the people in the neighborhood went outside and formed a human wall so the Google photography car could not pass. An eye witness said he was enraged and angry when he saw the car. He was angry that it was taking pictures without his consent.
I mean if people want to get pictures they should get consent of everyone that was in the background and all the owners of the buildings within the picture, Right? Ya that just doesn’t make too much sense to me either because that is pretty much what he is saying. I would agree with him if they could see inside the home and things like that but that isn’t the case.
I am usually a care free person and this wouldn’t anger me at all. I just don’t see how this is an invasion of privacy. Now a days I think people say they have too many “rights” and privileges. It has turned a good part of America into whiney babies that want to be pampered and have whatever they say be fact. The fact is though that people are bending the constitutional rights into their own very needy “rights” so they can have their way. Just like a little child. The only reasonable disagreement with this technology would it would provide burglars the ability to scope a house out without being there.

Bamboozlémon

|

Well I found this story quite amusing. It’s about a new set of trading card a company is coming out with. I know that there are many trading cards out there and some are popular and some are not. The next “series” they are coming out with is the "world's biggest hoaxes, hoodwinks and bamboozles." I don’t really see people buying any of this or it being popular one bit. I just don’t think people want to be reminded of how many ass holes there are in the world. With the economy the way it is, I don’t think people are going to spend their hard earned money to look at a bunch of douche bags on a trading card. The cards are supposed to have people that cost billions of dollars in the market and things like that.

Sometimes I don’t know where people get business ideas like this but hey, I can’t count it out yet because they haven’t come out yet. Only time will tell to see if they are popular I personally hope people won’t waste their money on it but I can’t stop people from buying them. Who knows they could be the new Pokémon card craze. I have to admit back in the day I did enjoy Pokémon battles and all that jazz, so who is to say that these cards won’t be a hit. Again, I can’t really imagine people saying trade you a Madoff card for your Ponzi card. I am sure they will be collectables, not really “tradables”

BarberShop Booze

|

I found this story the other day and I thought it was pretty interesting and, naturally, weird. We all get haircuts. Some go to salons some go to great clips and place like that. For the people that want high class and a fun environment head on down to the barber shop. Why you ask? They might be able to server booze to you while you get the long needed hair cut, open blade shave or just a small trim. That’s right you heard it right here, barbershop booze. Like always there is some type of law or regulation that is going to benefit the government, such as a license to server alcohol specifically in a barbershop. They just have to have their hand in everyone’s cookie jar don’t they. Well, that’s life governments have been screwing people over with their money for a long long time.

I am not against them serving alcohol or anything like that as long as it is in moderation (open blade shave on a drunk person is probably not a good idea). When I found this story I was just wondering why people care if they serve one beer or a glass of wine to their customers. Sometimes (pretty much all the time) I just think that the law is focused on things that are just not necessary or important. I really don’t think one beer is going to cause any harm to anyone. Like I said as long as they limit consumption, it should be fine because there is no harm that can come out of it. I mean I personally would not like to have drink while I am getting a haircut because I would want hair to get in it because that would just be nasty but some people are more careful than I am and won’t get hair in theirs so why not just let them have it?

Big Mistake

|

So I am sure many of you have heard of this story I am about to talk about. I find it extremely irresponsible and just outright wrong that a big mistake like this could happen. All of us in this class got acceptance letters from Purdue but what if they decided to send you an email saying that they no longer wanted us to go here just after being accepted. Well this happened at a different school to roughly 29,000 students. I couldn’t imagine how angry I would be if this happened to me. I mean they just screwed with people’s lives and then they just say sorry and forget about it. That’s what people usually do these days, it’s not my fault and I am going to blame someone or something else. Not many people man up and take responsibility for people that fuck up this bad.

I wouldn’t know what I would do or where I would be I wasn’t accepted to college. I guess I would probably be working, but to send someone through a totally unnecessary emotion trial just got me angry. They said it was a technical error which is possible but I don’t think that sounds plausible. I think they are just trying to cover someone’s ass. That is a gigantic mistake that needs to be corrected whether it is from a person or from a technical error. I haven’t seen anything about them trying to rework, reprogram or buying another program that will do a correct job when sending these acceptance emails out. Something significant needs to be done to the program that does these emails (if it was indeed a program and not a person).

The University of California San Diego (UCSD) should be punished or have some type of repercussion associated with this. I mean what if they got an email saying that they got a job that was double their pay, had great benefits and they worked less, then the next day they get another email basically saying piss off. They would want to sue that company for doing that to them I bet. College is an opportunity to help people adjust to the real world and have a significantly better chance to get a good job and for someone to take that away from them is really irritating. I just hope that a gigantic mistake like this never happens again because it really could have and most likely did screw up a lot of peoples lives.

Unlucky

|

Well this man had a very very bad day and was just as unlucky as a person could be. This man thought he was going to get in and out of a bank with lots of money and get away with it(you may also know this as the act of bank robbery) but with a string of bad luck he was found out. I guess it doesn’t take much for somebody’s plan to go completely sour. I guess the old cliché here still holds true “crime doesn’t pay”.

Well he started his day off with the bank robbery. He went in with a gun and a fake grenade strapped to him. He made off with about $3,700 in cash in his getaway car. He almost got away clean but he hit someone on his getaway which drew attention to his car. So he had to ditch it and find his way home through a taxi ride, bus ride and a ride from his sister. That was his first unlucky incident.

When he finally got home he saw something he didn’t expect. His roommate was dead and it is believed that he commited suicide. After all that trouble to get back to the “saftey” of his home, he had to see his dead roommate. There must have been a lot of stress from all the crime they were doing which may have caused him to kill himself. That was the second unlucky thing that happened to him.

The third was that he called the police because he had a dead roommate. Which isn’t crazy or unlucky at first. The unlucky part is that they recognized a description of the bank robber which fit the way the guy looked. So the police naturally investigated a little bit around and they found the money in the guy’s appartment and they took him to jail. This all happened on January 29th. Now that is a fast if not the fastest bank robbery case solved ever. That was his last unlucky incident for the day on january 29th. He is supposed to be charged in mid april.

Boarding

|

Well this next story has to one of the strangest I have ever read. A man by the name of Erik Sweet wants to get into the guniess book of world records. He won’t be eating some disgusting substance or anything like that. He will be making the worlds longest snowboard but it doesn’t end with just that. The next part is what I thought was so strange

He wants to have 10 people on the snowboard at once. Hey wait a minute that’s not so strange! Yes I agree with you, but its not just any 10 people its only jews that are allowed on the snow board. He wants to have a world record of ten jews on a snowbaord at once. I thought that was the strangest thing ever. I mean its not strange because they are Jewish, its just that he put the qualifying restriction of you have to be Jewish to even be considered to get on the snowboard. I would think the same thing if 10 christians or 10 budists were on it.

Now Erik sweet is not new to the “large amount of people on one snowbard” scene. Last year he did the same thing except with only 3 people on the board. I guess he just wanted to really outdo what he did last year. I hope that he is able to to it. It would be absolutely hilarious watching 10 people on a giant snowboard trying to go down a hill. I don’t think they will be able to ride it down a hill with all 10 stay on but if they do I will be very impressed.

I thought another thing was interesting. He was inspired to do this when he met a rabbi. He talked to the rabbi about it and the rabbi thought it sounded fun. So this is how he got into it. He wanted to bring something fun to judiasm. It is a strange way to do it but I would agree with him that it would be pretty fun. He wants to do it on april first so check it out I am sure there will be videos!

Cramming

|

I am sure you have all seen videos of tons of people trying to cram into a small space. I have seen people get into cars, small rooms and of course the phone booth. I don’t really see the point in trying to do this. I personally don’t think it would be very fun to do this. Cramming into a small space with other people, being uncomfortable and probobly barely able to breath, those are the things I would assocciated with it and they just don’t sound any fun at all. They fit 22 people into a phone booth which is just crazy. The crazier thing is that the school records(what the hell someone recorded this?) is 24 people. They might need to get a different hobby or something because this is just a bit too strange for me.

One thing I am kind of astonished about is where they got a phone booth. I mean phone booths haven’t been around for a long long time. I don’t really think I have seen many(in day to day life) if any in my entire lifetime. If I asked a 15 year what a phone booth looked like I bet who would know what to say because they are that old. I would think it would be pretty damn hard to obtain a phonebooth. My hats off to whoever got it but I still think what they used it for is pretty dumb.

I myself would never take part in something like this. I just don’t see the point. The story mentioned that this was popular for college kids to do in the 1950’s. I just asked myself how in gods name could this be popular and nothing came to mind except for a lot of people with a lot of time on their hands. Maybe they should consider getting a harder major or something.

Police firemen?

|

This next story is pretty impressive in one respect and pretty stupid in another. The police set off a fire alarm to evacuate an apartment complex. One person they were trying to get out did not. This man pointed a shotgun at someone and had a toddler in the room so it was obviously a no go on barging in the room and risking the kids life. The police try to eliminate casualties and will do things to save peoples lives. So they thought of something rather clever to do. What was this clever thing you ask? Well, they dressed up as firemen to avoid a standoff and make sure that people did not get hurt when taking him out of the building. It is a good idea right? I thought so too.

What is pretty stupid is that a firefighters union was upset about this. They were mad that the police used disguises to dress up as firefighters. I don’t get why they would be mad at something that did so much good and didn’t even have any side effects. Its not going to make the firefighters look bad or anything everyone knew that it was the police in disguises. Its pretty crazy that when people can’t find a legitimate thing to fix and argue about they do something like this. They pick out something that wont be worth anyones time and just waste peoples time and money. Why not just get something constructive done with that time spent whining about what the police did to save a few lives. People these days just find anything to cry about.

Scruffy

|

What is one of the many things little kids like. I know that there are thousands of possibilities for this over ambiguous question. The answer I was looking for was people in animal suits. Ya I know, you got it first try right? Anyway, the story I found was about a guy who pretty much beat up a Scruff Mgruff guy, while he was in the suit. He was attacked by a metro bus driver in front of quite a few children. From what the story said the children were “horrified” which I have a hard time believing it was that extreme of a reaction but hey, you never know. If I was a kid an I saw that I really don’t think I would have thought much of it though. I knew those suits were pretty thick so it really wouldn’t hurt if you got punched in one.

That doesn’t escuse the man from attacking Mcgruff though. It is never right to initiate a physical fight unless you are in danger and it is the last option to protect yourself. Instigating and starting fights for no reason is just stupid. It doesn’t really resolve anything it just ticks people off more than they were before. It just causes more problems than there were before. I just don’t understand why this guy hit Mcgruff for no reason. After he did that he got onto the bus and drove off which is pretty much ridiculous. Some people just don’t know how to exercise self control these days and they get out of hand. Sometimes I really have a lot of doubt in humans when I see dumb stuff like this. He attacked him just because he thought it would be funny. I mean come on.

Money

|

This next story irritates me quite a bit. When people steal from others it just really irritates me. A lot of people are not as privelaged as I am and I know that. But still, many of those people work towards making themselves better by studying or exceling in their jobs. So by saying this I am showing you that it is possible to live a nice life without stealing. Becoming educated and working hard are the two most popular and effective ways to make money and live a fulfilling happy life. Stealing is an easy way to getting rich but it also harms and hurts other people. Granted that money isnt everything, it is still needed to provide certain needs so people can live their life comfortably. This story was about a man who posed as a guard that stole 145000 dollars from a church. That made me pretty mad when he was preying on generosity from others.

It really just ticks me off when I see that people have stooped to stealing and theft. There are many alternatives that would be use instead of doing something illegle. These options may not be as instanteously rewarding like stealing. For example you steal something and then you have what you stole right away. This is opposed to getting an education and working over a period of years and getting better and better pay. When I think about it the quick easy way is “usually” the option not to take. As all of us know most things in life are not easy, but we just deal with it and get through it. It just takes patience and hard work and with those two things you can bet that you will be doing something you love and getting a decent amount of money to go along with that.

I guess what I am trying to say is that stealing may look like an easy way out but in the long run it definetly is not worth it. There are many reasons to not steal such as getting in trouble with the law, hurting others or living with a guilty conscious. It is really hard for me to comprehend why people steal and don’t better themselves by making themselves better people. Being a hard worker and getting educated to come out of poverty definetly makes that person look like a person that can overcome anything. Because that would be no easy feat. If somebody knew that you used to be in complete poverty and you turned that around you could also inspire others to do the same, that also works in the converse. If you steal you could set a bad model for others to follow. Finally my final thought is don’t steal and work hard and you will be succesful.

Fake Robbery

|

Well I’m all for a good prank but sometimes people take things a little too far. Some of the shows that are out there today are just ridiculous. Sometimes they humiliate the people and sometimes they trick them into thinking they are in danger. There is a big genre of pranks out there but I really hate seeing it when people think they are actual danger. I don’t see how they can do these things and get away with it. They shouldn’t be able to mess around with people’s minds like that and they should be punished for doing it. I can understand lighthearted pranks that won’t make people think they are in any serious danger or embarrassment but when it is taken to that extreme it gets me a bit angry because if I was in the seat of that person I would be extremely pissed off. I found a video of a prank that I thought was taken too far and you can find it here.

The video I found was about a man who put something on his face to make it look like he was

robbing the store, but he really wasn’t. He put himself in a lot of danger and I am surprised he didn’t get beaten up and shot. The most that happened to him was he got pushed out of a few stores, people ran away from him or people would call the police. The things people do these days for a minute of fame is getting out of hand. If I was in the store I probably would have beaten the man to a pulp and wouldn’t have a second thought about it. It would have been his fault for being so stupid. I am sure he is going to get hurt if he keeps doing pranks like this. That day he will most likely regret pissing all the people off in his life. If someone pulled those types of pranks on him I bet he wouldn’t be happy at all.

You have been filled in.

The J Walk

|

This next story kind of confuses me a little bit and I would expect it to confuse you although I am not 100% certain. I am sure some of you have heard of this story so I will slowly lead into it to see if you This story is about a Good Samaritan. You usually expect the Samaritan to get a reward for helping someone or at least recognition for doing so. But these days that’s just not good enough anymore. We have to take their reward to the next level. What’s the next level of getting rewarded? Punishment. Yes, that’s right he pretty much got punished for helping someone. So next time you’re about to save someone’s life think about the consequences.

So ill explain what happened in a little more detail now that I have your undivided attention. This 58 year old man bus driver got out of his bus to help 2 ladies across the street. He was interested in their safety so he decided to help them. On the way across the road a pickup truck came towards them. He pushed the 2 ladies out of the way, essentially saving them, only to be left to be struck by the came full on. It was a full on strike and it sent him straight to the hospital. He is now there in intensive but stable condition.

Now that’s not the confusing part. The confusing part is what the police did. They gave him a jaywalking ticket. I mean holy crap the man is probably going to have a huge medical bill and he saved two other people. What’s the point of it? I don’t really see a point except for a douche bag trying to make a quota. Since when did you hear about tickets for jaywalking? If it was that serious then pretty much everyone at Purdue would have quite a record by now. It just amazes me when things like this happen. He saves two peoples lives at the risk of his own life and safety and he gets punished for it. Sometimes the “law” is, in my opinion, enforced to brutally and unnecessarily rough.

EBay B

Well, I have another disturbing story for you. I know most kids aren’t really always the most polite and enjoyable to be around. The fact is its part of life that a kid will be annoying or will get on our nerves. There isn’t really a way to avoid it. Learning how to deal with this and cope with it is part of parenthood. Every kid has a moment in his life where he or she is a big pain in the butt, but it isn’t that hard to just set that aside and hope for the best. If you are not ready to have a kid, you shouldn’t. Now that wasn’t the story I just felt that it would be necessary to say what the responsible action would be compared to the news story I found.

That news story was about a baby being sold on EBay. To do something like this to your own child is so irresponsible and shows that these people should not have had a baby together. They live in Germany and the police took the kid away from them. Which in one respect is good, but the story did not mention if the couple got into and type of trouble with the law at all. I really hope that they are severely punished for doing this. It does irritate me that they no longer have the responsibility of the baby, but I know it is definitely for the best this way. To put a value on a person’s life is just appalling. They started the bid at about $1.50.

The kid is almost eight months old and I hope that he won’t have to know about this. His parents had such lack of respect for life, even for their own flesh and blood. I hope that he won’t have to meet his parents in his life because of their actions. I would only think that it would be harmful for him to meet them. I hope that that child will find a great family that loves him for who he is and take care of him instead of thinking of him as a piece of property.

A Rose

|

This next story I am going to talk about is about Guns and Roses, but not the band. It is about a program in South Carolina that the police put into place for Valentine ’s Day. If you trade in a gun you get a rose and a gift card to best buy. Personally I think this is a great idea to get unnecessary fire arms off the streets and into possession. I bet that this will definitely have an effect on the amount of gun violence in the area, which is a serious problem in the untied states. Not only would this reduce homicides it would also reduce suicides by reducing the chance someone with suicidal tendencies will be able to obtain a gun. There were 10.100 homicides in the United States just from guns alone, 75% of those being from handguns (which most people were turning in at the exchange. Although the United States doesn’t have the worst gun violence (south Africa) it is still one of the top 10.

They not only gave them a rose they also gave them a gift certificate to best buy. Best buy has a lot of useable equipment that can be used in everyday life while a gun only has limited uses. I believe that this is an extraordinary deal that could really help out the violence that is going on. With Gary Indiana being the murder capitol of the world or it was the last several years; I think that it would be a good idea for Indiana to do it. Gun violence is a serious problem in the United States. Unlike Europe were guns are outlawed to the general public (more knife violence in Europe though). I am really happy to see the Police Force making such strides to reduce the gun violence in the United States. I am excited to see the previous statistics of South Carolina Vs. 2009’s Statistics to see if there was a change.

Cuff'd

|

This next story is about a man who thought that it would be a great idea to go to a police station to get his hand cuffs off. When someone has handcuffs on they probably did something bad. It is unknown if this man actually got away from a police officer or if his bogus story was true. His story was that at a child’s birthday party his sister slipped the handcuffs on him. Sounds a little kinky to me. Irreguardless, this man had warrants for his arrest and had been cited for several charges.

It is pretty amazing that this guy thought it would be a great idea to go into a police station and try to get his handcuffs off when he had warrants for his arrest out. Maybe this was his way of turning himself in or something like that. It is pretty weird when people just do things like this. They spend so much time avoiding getting caught and then they do something so stupendously idiotic and get caught. For the most part it is inevitable to avoid the law for the remainder of your life because there are so many ways to be found out, there are some exceptions though. So it is pretty much pointless to stay on the run. This guy had to be turning himself in or he has to have a clinical mental disease or problem.

I wonder if people even think about what they do before they do It. It seems like so many people in the stories I have been writing about are just acting on impulse or something of that nature because the actions they are performing are just so stupid. A good definition I found on impulse is “a psychic drive or instinctual urge” from dicionary.com. The world today just has so many flaws and so many people are unaware of what’s going on. We have a fundamentally flawed system of society where people like this man broke the laws and tried to get out of it. Then we have the police that are suppose to protect us but some of them are corrupt. Then we have the judges that are suppose to be wise and “just” but take bribes for certain outcomes.

Tequila

|

This next story is pretty disturbing. People get into arguments all the time and it’s not a big deal, although sometimes they escalate to physical violence. But this news story is about sometime pretty darn terrible. A man got into an argument with another man and one of them decided to cover the man in tequila. That wasn’t enough though. He took out a lighter and set the man on fire. I mean he could have been drunk but that’s no excuse for foul and terrible behavior. How heartless do you have to be to do that?

I have talked about a lot of different stories but I always find that the stories that are associated with people starting fires the most horrific. There is no point to go to such an extreme of violence. If that man can’t handle having alcohol in his system he shouldn’t be drinking. We always hear about happy drunks and violent drunks. This man would definitely be classified as a violent drunk. I don’t think many people would classify him as a happy drunk. Again, alcohol is no excuse for poor behavior, especially violent behavior. Putting people’s lives in danger over something so trivial as an argument at a party.

The man that was burned suffered from 2nd degree burns. He is in the hospital in stable condition which is good, but he will always have the scars from the burns. The man who set him on fire has the charges of assault with and possession of deadly weapons (the lighter and tequila). I am happy to see that his bail is 400,000 dollars. This means that he won’t be getting out of jail until his trial so he can’t run away from justice. It always makes me confident in the law when I see a large bail when they have a good reason (good evidence) against the person who the charges are against.

Driver's Ed

|

This next story is about a man who let his 8 year old drive. I know many people sat in their parents lap and “drove” even though their parents were still in control as kids. This wasn’t the case in this story. The dad let his 8 year old son drive completely on his own. If a dad lets his son do that is pretty irresponsible and quite dangerous. That is only part of the story though. His dad took his “liquid medicine” as his son put it. Well, that liquid medicine was alcohol. So not only did he put his son in danger by letting him drive he got drunk and once that happened he probably thought he wasn’t responsible for his son anymore.

I’m by no means saying that people can’t drink if kids are around. They just shouldn’t get drunk. They assumed the responsibility of taking care of their kids when the child was conceived. It should really go through that dad’s mind that getting drunk when it is just him and his son around, even better if he didn’t even get drunk at all. Sometimes people just don’t think and this is an extreme case of it. A kid should not have to deal with his dad going to jail because he thought he was helping his dad. If the father goes to jail it could have serious psychological effects on the child, which would have a negative effect, if the father cleans up, on the child’s life.

That child probably is having a hard time with this. That is because he thought he was helping his dad by driving so his dad wouldn’t have to drive drunk. This is just merely a possibility since he may not know exactly what alcohol does and he referred to it as liquid medicine. I really feel sorry for the kid since he crashed the car and most likely thinks he disappointed his father. It’s just hard to think about what was going through the fathers mind when he did this.

Sweet Tooth

|

This time I am going to talk about how a teen likes to buy his or her candy. Normally he or she will go to the story and give a few dollars to a cashier for a few pieces of candy. In this case though, that wasn’t good enough. He must have had one hell of a sweet tooth. $37,000 worth of candy is quite a lot and that’s how much he baught. Who can afford that much candy? Well, he obviously couldn’t because he got a hold of an account number of some type from his old highschool. With that number he proceeded to buy $37,000 dollars worth of candy.

Well, my hat is off the this guy for trying to buy that much candy but when you do something like that you are bound to get attention drawn to yourself and found out. Which is exactly what happened. I don’t know how someone could think that it would be possible to get away with something like this. I mean he purchashed it using a school account and I’m pretty sure schools don’t spend that much on candy at one time. Another thing is he had the candy mailed to his home address. What an idiot. Do people even think about what they are doing when things like this happen? Obviously this guy didn’t really give it much though.

Well lucky for him, or not, he has two charges of felony telecommunications and his bail is posted at 30,000. This guy must have had a rough time from his teachers or something to do that to his school. I mean you would most likely have to put some serious thought and planning, not to mention stealing when he did this. He must have had a lot of guts to do this. Unfortunately have guts won’t help you in court. This kid must have had the biggest sweet tooth on the planet. I use the word must because I doubt he will be eating much candy while he is in jail.

Fire!

|

This next story makes me ponder about the sanity of the general public. What if one day a 19 year old decided to go off and light several houses on fire? Only to be videotaped singing about how the fire department would be angry at her. How crazy and maniacal do you have to be to do something so monstrous? Well that’s not a “what if” it’s a fact. This actually happened in real life and it was performed by some about our age. From what the story said no one was hurt, but it was a very real possibility.

I don’t know how someone could carry out an act like this. You could hurt so many people in the process men, women and children could all be injured or even killed. I don’t really know how to respond when I hear things like this because the person could be mentally disturbed. Then I think, is what was done chosen by free will or cause by some neurological disease. It really makes me think about people and if I should trust them. That is why I think people are so critical with others, they don’t know them and they are trying to protect themselves. That is just my opinion though and I am sure many people disagree with me.

Starting several fires and burning people’s homes down is just jaw dropping to me. The mind is a very complicated thing and I guess I will never truly understand how people can act like this. She has a 100,000 dollar bail and is being charged with a multitude of crimes. It is just crazy to think that someone would actually go through with something like this and end up singing about it. Like nothing had really happened or it was a lighthearted prank. I am just glad no one got hurt and she is off the streets. At least one more person that could hurt people is off the streets.

Fail

This topic is about a women in Korea. This is a pretty astonishing story. This woman has been trying to get her license for quite some time. How long is "quite some time" you ask? Try about 4 years with 771 non pass grades for the written exam. It must be one hard as hell test, she just doesn't really care or she honestly can't pass the test. Which it is it will still irritate me that i haven't passed it after that many attempts.

She has taken the test so many times the her costs for taking the test are now around three thousand dollars. I mean that is quite a bit of money. Even though it's spread out over about 4 years it could have been spent on something more worthwhile. If she has scored a 50 as her highest and it takes 60 to pass she should spend some time studying before taking it again. It almost sounds like she just takes it every few days and doesn't really put effort into trying to pass. It just looks like she is trying to take the test and luck out with a good score.

I am sure she will eventually pass the written test, but she will still have to pass the driving portion also. I don't really think I would want her driving on the road if she has failed the test that many times anyway. Many people have many challenges and this looks like a big challenge for her. Maybe she has a learning disability or something like that that makes it difficult to remember the rules. I would also throw out there that a lot of countries have a lot harder driver education and exams to be able to obtain a license. That being said it's still a lot of failed grades.

Family Fued

|

This time around I am going to talk about a lady who crashed her own sister’s wedding because she was not invited. I personally don’t think that it’g a good idea to go to a wedding unless you are invited because when I ever hear a wedding was crashed, it always turns out to be bad news. The woman who crashed her sister’s wedding must have done something pretty horrendous to her to not get invited. It would take something very serious for me not to invite my family members to my wedding. Just amazes me that a sibling could do that to her own flesh and blood. This story left me wondering a lot of things like, why did she attack her own sister at her own wedding, the greatest day of many people’s lives. Her sister will have to forever live with a horrible experience, her wedding. Even though she is now with the person she loves, it will be hard to forget that her own sister went to her wedding and attacked her, ripping her hair out in the process, during what was supposed to be the happiest moment of her life.

The woman who attacked her sister was charged with battery. I am glad to see that a charge was brought against her because it is just reckless and irresponsible to attack someone like that, especially on their wedding day. The woman lost her job as, what do ya know, a “911 dispatcher”. I would say it’s a bit of an unfair trade, ruin a day for someone but ruin the rest of your life, but hey who said life was fair? Here is a cliché phrase “Don’t do the crime if you don’t want to do the time”. It seems like I have found a theme of police in my writings. I think I am going to stick with them just because there are plenty of stories printed about them. I’ll try to mix it up with things that they do good and then some outrageous stories.

Suspended

|

This time around I am pretty proud of how the police acted after a man had his license suspended. This man was in court for his 13th license suspension. I mean honestly after the first few you think someone would figure, if I stop doing this maybe I will stop getting punished for it. In the crazy world today though that doesn’t exactly hold up. So the real kicker to this story isn’t the fact that he has thirteen suspensions. It is the fact that he was caught about 20 minutes later driving! What an idiot. I really don’t know how someone could be this ignorant. Unfortunately for him he has a ten thousand dollar bail. He has to stay in jail until he has paid it. Just goes to show you don’t piss off a judge by breaking the sentence he just gave you in a short amount of time. I personally thought the judge was lenient with his first sentencing. I would have put him in jail because it was his 13th offense. I thought it was three strikes and you’re out, not fourteen. Just goes to show you that some people will just never listen to what other people say.

Another kicker is that this guy is what most of us would think when we hear the word pimp. Just trying to picture what this guy looked like gave me a laugh. The story said that he wore a fur coat and his license read “Pimp Plaza.” I thought the whole fur coat pimp thing was over, but apparently it isn’t. Those few pimps want an express ticket to jail! How hard is it to spot a man wearing a fur coat? All that it does is draw attention to the person wearing it. I guess I will stop there because I don’t want to get into the “science of pimps” because I am no expert.

Policeman?

|

Well sticking on the topic of the police I found another story about them. Although I don't think they did anything wrong this time. A 14 year old kid impersonated an officer and even went out on patrol. Check out the story here, its short and quick. I am not really angry at the police this time, but just mostly astonished that this could happen. I am also bewildered why a 14 year old would do something like this. Seems incredibly stupid, but it did'nt really affect much of anything.
So the kid was put on patrol after "showing up for work" at the police station dressed up as an offficer. I don' really know how you can't identify a 14 year out of a a group of grown men. I think it's kind of funny but at the same time pretty bad. The funny part is that it took 5 hours for the police to figure out that the 14 year old wasn't a police officer. He even went with a partner on patrol. That is the part I found myself laughing at.
Now the next part kind of had me worried. The fact that this kid went on patrol also wasnt funny. He did not have any formal training as a police officer. So if something were to happen, such as a gun fight or a robbery, he would find himself in a very very bad situation. The story said he was not issued a gun, which is good for onething since he is 14 and had no training, but also bad because he could find himself needing a gun, as police officers need guns from time to time.
Overall I am just pretty much astonished that a kid could pull something like this off, without being detected(atleast for 5 hours). The kid will get his just deserts when he is put on for trial, I'm sure. This kid is pretty much a moron for doing something so stupid and obvious. Kudos to the police letting a 14 year old join the force. Must be the youngest yet.
This has been a dose of crazy news.

Snowball Fight

|

This next story I am going to talk about is about students at a college getting sprayed with pepper spray because the snowball fight they got "out of control". Honestly things like this couldn't piss me off any more. Why in god's name would a policeman need to use pepper spray. When I hear stories of policemen abusing their powers I couldn't be more pissed off. Since when was a snowball a danger to someone. You can't even use the old "it will take your eye out" for a snowball. Honestly.

In the story it said "an officer chased and arrested a student after being hit in the back with a snowball". ARE YOU KIDDNING ME. Someone was arrested for throwing a snowball? What bullshit. I mean do you really need to arrest people and use pepper spray when a simple "ok move along" would be sufficient. When things like this happen it really does make me think that policemen are just focused on the wrong things. It makes them look like they are starting problems that can be avoided. They could also be a little more focused on stopping crime from happening, being on patrol making sure nothing bad is happening or something like that.

It is just hard to understand that the cops are to protect the general public when they do things like this. When they just look around and try to turn something innocent into an arrest instead of actually stopping real crime I get very infuriated. I know I sound angry and it's because I am. This story just really made me mad. Something as so trivial as a snowball was turned into a big deal. I have been hit in the face with snowballs, yes it hurts, but that goes away after 10 seconds. The cop got hit in the back which wouldn't hurt at all, what a baby. All this did is made the policemen at that campus look like they are performing police brutality. I am sure they will have a ton of flak from the media, students and parents. When you look at it, you can clearly see that it was their fault for using such extreme measures of force for a snowball fight.

This has been a dose of crazy news.

The Court of Law

|

Well, recently in the news a man had his bail raise from $250,000 to $1,000,000 dollars. There was one simple reason for this sharp increase in bail. Feces. To sum up the story a man flung feces at a lawyer and the jurors and a mistrial was declared.Get the full story here. When i don't think the law system can't get any worse, it does. The fact that the bail was raised doesn't bother me, its the fact that there was a mistrial. He is on trial for the charges kidnapping as well as several other charges. Delaying the trial on lets the family of the affected worry longer that a resolution, guilty or not, will not be reached.

When i hear stories like this my jaw just drops. Not only because of the complete lack of maturity by the defendant, but that he was able to "sneak" in a bag of fecies. How could a gaurd not find that as he was entering the court room? How hard can it be to spot a bag of poop. The whole incident could have been avoided if they just spotted a smelly bag of crap. One thing I just can't comprehend is how the defendant thought that this would be beneficial to him at all. It will only delay the inevitable and make him look worse in his future court dates.

Think of the lawyer who got poop smeared in his hair. That would be just the worst thing ever. You come prepared to do a service to the state by putting a "alledgedly" guilty man behind bars, and you get poop all over you. If i was him I would work so much harder to prepare for the future court date so i could put him away for the rest of his life.

This has been a dose of crazy news.

Scooby Doo

This is scooby doo.
